Privacy Policy - VapeZero

VapeZero ("we", "us") is an app that helps you quit vaping by turning your quit date into a live streak, savings and recovery view. This policy explains what we collect and why. VapeZero is designed to keep your personal quit data on your device.

No account, on-device storage

You can use VapeZero without creating an account or giving us your email. Your quit date, prior spending, puffs-per-day and everything the app computes from them (streak, money saved, puffs avoided, milestone progress) are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your quit diary to a server, and there is no backend account tied to you.

Analytics and diagnostics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated product-usage events (for example, that the Today screen was viewed or a craving tool was started) to improve the app, and Sentry to receive crash and performance reports. These do not include your identity and are used only to make VapeZero work better.

Purchases

The optional VapeZero Pro subscription is processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status (active / inactive) so the app can unlock Pro features, but never your payment card details.

Advertising and measurement

To understand how people discover VapeZero and to measure the performance of our advertising, we use AppsFlyer (a mobile measurement partner) together with advertising platforms such as Meta, TikTok and Google. For this purpose these partners may process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) and limited app-usage events (such as installing the app or starting a subscription). On iOS we ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking takes place — if you decline, this advertising identifier is not used, and declining does not limit any core feature. You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Third-party services

PostHog (analytics), Sentry (crash & performance reporting), RevenueCat & Apple (purchases), AppsFlyer (attribution) and advertising partners (Meta, TikTok, Google). Each processes only the limited data described above.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not require your name, email, or contacts to use the app. Your quit data is never uploaded to us.

Data retention & deletion

Your quit data lives on your device — deleting the app removes it. To request deletion of any analytics or attribution data tied to your device, email us and we will action it.

Children

VapeZero is intended for adults working to quit vaping. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

VapeZero is a self-help motivation tool. The recovery timeline is drawn from published smoking-cessation research and is provided for general information only — it is not medical advice.

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
